About
Jong has been enthralled by health and fitness ever since his first visit to the gym in 2011. He had always been the weakest and least physically fit of all of his friends and classmates. Until he was about fifteen, Jong was unable to perform push-ups or even twist open plastic water bottles. Through discipline and years of hard work and research, Jong has significantly improved his health, strength, and appearance. He now wishes to teach others what he has learned through years and years of exercise and diet and help them become a better version of themselves.
Jong has many years of experience working with clients of all types. He specializes in weight training, and weight management, though he is experienced in many training disciplines.
Training Philosophy
Many trainers, especially ones active on social media, sell one-size-fits-all fitness programs. This is a lazy approach to personal training. As a trainer, I work with clients to create a program that will keep them consistent. I believe an important—and often neglected—job of a personal trainer, for most clients, is not to provide the client with the "best" program or the "best" exercises. A trainer should provide accountability and remove any obstacles that might distract the client. This means that instead of worrying about things like when to work out, what exercises to do, how to eat right, how to perform movements and other issues or excuses, the client can direct their focus most effectively to achieving their goals. Of course, for the experienced and disciplined client, more efficient programs can be prescribed; however, these cases are far and few between. My training philosophy is to have the client do exercises that they enjoy and that will keep them exercising. It is better to make slow and steady progress that you can keep, than make leaps and bounds that are lost once you burn out and quit
